Hello family and friends - we have arrived and are officially Spanglish!
It only took us a year of trying but we arrived yesterday in Madrid. Today we spent the day touring apartments and will find out in the next few days if we are able to secure one of our two favorites. If so, we should be able to move out of the hotel and into an apartment by early October. And then are, of course, open for visitors...
We were so lucky to see so many friends and family over this year in Chicago, NYC, Mumbai, San Francisco, and this past weekend in Long Beach Island (Congratulations again Mike & Theresa!!). Its only fitting that Madrid should continue the adventure.
We were amazed upon our arrival to turn on CNN International and see the Ike devastation and the Wall Street challenges going on at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone facing tough times at here and at home.
